Palmistry - The practice or art of telling fortunes from the lines, marks, and patterns on the palms of the hands.
Palmistry or chiromancy is the shaastra of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm, also known as palm reading, or chirology. The practice is found all over the world, with numerous cultural variations.
As we know that two fingerprints are never identical. In fact, the entire hand is unique with its pattern of lines. The lines are unique precisely because each of us has personal memories, hopes and individual character traits. Since there is a traceable link between our personality, thoughts and experiences and the way the lines form on our hands, our handprints represent a kind of personalized signature.
